A white flint corn found at Truches, New Mexico, a small village at over 8,000 ft. elevation on the High Road to Taos. Corn at this elevation has to mature early. This variety does, setting 6 inch ears of pearly white corn on 4-5 foot stalks in less than 70 days. It has excellent cool-soil emergence. The seed was originally collected by Brett Baker and given to me at a conference not long before his untimely death. The variety seems very similar to the corn grown in Las Tampas, another mountain community.
