Hidatsa Red

Bred by the Hidatsa tribe of the Dakotas, Hidatsa Red has a unique, melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich, beany taste. A thin skin means it ccoks up quickly. This is a wonderful vareity for bean soups and stews. The vigorous vines are excellent producers. Midseason.
I select for the solid color, but there is some variation in this landrace.
