Cosmonaut Volkov

Cosmonaut Volkov is a productive midseason red tomato with very good flavor. It keeps well and is adaptable and reliable. I always put in a couple of plants because regardless of the conditions that season, I always can depend on it. The 6 oz. fruit is slightly flattened and generally quite uniform. This strain doesn't seem to show the cracking and irregular shapes you hear about.
I also remember the tragedy of Soluz 11, which happened right after I graduated high school, and I grow it in tribute to those brave men.
