Chile Pequin

Chile Pequin is a small plant maybe 18 inches tall that sets loads of upright little chiles about an inch or so in length. The fruit ripens from green to gold to orange and red. They are very hot, around 100,000 on the Scoville scale with a sweet, citrus flavor. The heat dissapates quickly leaving a sort of a nutty aftertaste. I think they are great for bottled hot sauce or pickled with other vegetables.
