Grushovka

This is a Russian heirloom tomato I got from Tatiana (an remarkable woman and expert on tomatoes - see http://t.tatianastomatobase.com)
Grushovka is a bright pink, pointed tomato about 3-4 ounces borne on a small, slender plant. This variety will produce reliably under the toughest conditions imaginable. It survived near freezing temperatures, heat, drought, and floods of rain, and I was picking a big basket every week from early May on. The flavor is bright and sweet and people loved them at the market. Next year I am going to try some in containers as well.
