Giant Italian Paste

This heirloom tomato probably was brought over from Italy in the early 1900's. The tall plants set big, red, blocky fruits. Mine were uniformly in the 10-12 oz range. I have not tried them in sauces, but they are great in salads where their firm but juicy flesh and full flavor stand out. (30+ seeds per packet)
