Ancienne Belge

This bright red indeterminate tomato from Belgium weighs 4-6 oz and is both fairly early (70 days) and quite productive. The vines reach about 5 feet and the fruit sets and ripens in trusses of 6-8 like a cluster tomato. The shoulders remain green for a bit before turning completely red, which is quite attractive and is often an indicator of great flavor. The flavor of Ancienne Belge is very good - slightly sharp and yet full.
