Polish Linguisa

This is an old variety from Poland, brought to New York by a family of Polish immigrants in the late 19th century. It is a true paste tomato with wispy foliage and 5 to 6 inch long red fruit. The fruits have almost no seeds which makes collecting seed a challenge. The flesh is firm with very good sweet flavor, and the plants are surprisingly productive for this type. Most fruits ripen at once later in the season, but the plant keeps producing right up to the first freeze. 25+ seeds per packet.
