Red Ruffles*

Not the same as Red Ruffled, this is a larger tomato with a different heritage. The dark red fruits are heavily fluted and have a remarkably intense and complex flavor. They are especially beautiful sliced and were in high demand at the market this summer. The plant is huge, vigorous even in cooler weather, and it is difficult to keep up with all the fruit it produces. Red Ruffles starts for us in June, about 65 days from transplanting and was the last to freeze this fall. 40+ seeds in a packet.
