These bud-sized peppers are intensely hot, but the heat fades very quickly living behind a wonderful spiciness. It is quite a rush as we used to say. The upright deep purple fruits eventually turn dark red, but I like them at all stages for fresh eating. I've also pickled them along with my Hungarian Inferno peppers. Once you try these little berries, they will become a mainstay in your garden as they have in mine. Bushy plants are less that 2 feet tall and produce right up to frost.
It used to be thought that the seed had to go through the gut of a bird to germinate, but a brief fermentation is all that is required. A full packet is 35 seeds
