La Jara Bolitas

La Jara is a small town in Colorado near the New Mexico border. There are a lot of beans grown around there and in the San Luis Valley of Colorado. I am not certain of the history of the bean, having received it in an exchange. However, I found it to be very productive and quite early as well. The bushes have a sprawling rather than upright habit. It might be a good idea to fence them up off the ground.
The beans themselves are slightly flattened, good-sized and pinkish-tan in color. It is definitely a fine dry bean and one of the larger bolitas I've come across.
