The Sorana is the legendary and much sought-after pole bean originally grown along the Pescia River in Tuscany. The beans are pearly white, flattened and about 3/8 inch in length. The variety is renowned for a very thin skin and delicate, nutty flavor.
Sturdy vines reach 6-8 foot here with very heavy production. 75 - 80 days to dry beans. At least 60 beans in a packet.
Seed given to me by Loretta Sandoval.
