Chapeu Frade

Chapeu Frade (Bishop's Hat in Portuguese) is named for its distinctive shape and makes fabulous hot sauce and is an excellent seasoning pepper. They are crisp and juicy with a delicious fruity flavor. The closer you get to the seed, the hotter, so you if you de-vein them there is almost no heat. Each plant sets 3 dozen or more and they mature from green to red in approximately 90-100 days.
